We provide tailored training programmes to offer you the right skills and experience to start your career in Hair & Beauty, Catering or IT. The accredited training programmes are open to all members of the community, with additional services for progression routes and business start-up support. The training suites are also available for hire by new and emerging enterprises to test the market and establish your business in a safe and controlled environment.
Young People 14-19
We aim to increase participation of 14 – 19 year olds in Newcastle to enable young people to successfully access Education, Employment and Training to increase their career prospects. Our Skills and Training programmes are tailored to be the ideal ‘alternative curriculum’ for training young people and embedding the ethos of enterprise and employment. In addition at The Beacon Newcastle we deliver Alternative Education with the aim of encouraging enterprise to young people aged 14-16 who want to access vocational options and/or at risk of disengaging. Emerging Enterprises
Our training suites are also available for hire by emerging entrepreneurs to use as a testing ground for your chosen service. Maybe you want to set up your own salon but can’t afford to rent your own premises just yet, the training suites will provide you with a professional, affordable and flexible environment to test your service whilst building up a strong client base.
