Centre West
Centre West is a charity based in and owner of the Beacon. It was founded in 2002 to work with local people and partner organisations to help regenerate the West End of Newcastle.
It’s regeneration activities include –
- Providing a high quality, accessible enterprise centre, the Beacon, to support local small business and business start-ups, and provide local employment.
- Provide health, fitness, employment training and fun activities for children, young people and families across Newcastle through its Hat-Trick and CHEFF projects.
Work with local people and other agencies to regenerate the local area, example: the transfer of Elswick Pool into community ownership.
